Tree of Life is the essence of Maya world. It represents metaphysical forces as did Yggdrasill for European mytholoy. The bird on the upper part of the Wahkam tree symbolizes the superior word. The symetrical heads on the central part bound on two corn cobs represent earthly power. And the bottom of the tree shows under-earthly forces... Maya tree is the symbolical center where all these forces are knoted together.
